Grupo Hinojosa designs recyclable, compostable paper packaging for foodservice applications

Hinojosa Packaging Group has launched Foodservice, a line of recyclable primary packaging for hot and cold beverages, dairy, and fourth- and fifth-range prepared foods. The objective of this initiative is to minimize the use of single-use plastics in the foodservice industry.

The line is split into three different ranges: the Beverage, Dairy, and Food Container ranges. These ranges are specifically designed to accommodate hot and cold beverages, dairy products such as yogurt and ice cream, and fourth- and fifth-range prepared foods. Moreover, the packaging can be customized with food-safe printing techniques, making them ideal for use in delivery services for quick-service chains and restaurants.

Additionally, the company has established its first manufacturing plant dedicated entirely to producing paper-based primary packaging for the foodservice industry. The plant will supply prepared or ready-to-process food and beverages to a wide range of food-related businesses, including vending, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and catering companies. Hinojosa’s objective is to promote more sustainable consumption practices in the food industry and support the strategic integration of sustainability to increase competitiveness.
