Staff at Spectra recently raised money for the Children in Need appeal by having a sponsored dress down day.

Personnel from all departments at the company’s Suffolk plant raised funds by paying to come into to work in non-uniform. Other members of staff also raised sponsorship by dressing in a variety of onesie outfits for the day. Additionally a themed cake was made especially for the event by Josie from Spectra’s decoration department.

The fun venture gathered nearly £300.00 in donations from staff, which was then matched by the company to provide a total of nearly £600.00.

Spectra’s Managing Director, Joe Maynard said, “Spectra staff clearly love getting into the spirit of things with our regular fund raising events and yet again it shows how much they care for notable charities such as Children in Need”.

Last year staff gained £400.00 for the same charity and in October the team also raised £200.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This year, Children in Need raised a staggering £37,100,687 through the incredible generosity of the UK public. However, it’s not too late to make a donation.
