Prevented Ocean Plastic™ continue to cushion the impact of ocean-bound plastic.
By way of announcing entry into another new product category, Prevented Ocean Plastic™ have proudly revealed a partnership with Advansa, one of Europe’s leading fibre suppliers and a business with a clear commitment to sustainability.
Advansa also pride themselves on innovation, driven by creating solutions to meet their consumer’s needs. One of these solutions- the Dacron® fibre family- consists of a wide variety of functional fibres for pillows, duvets and mattresses. The range features fibre varieties catered to longevity, practicality, fast drying and more.
Dacron® Quallofil® Blue is the eco-friendly choice within the product range. Quallofil® Blue is a polyester fibre for sustainable sofa cushions made entirely from recycled plastic bottles of which 50% is Prevented Ocean Plastic™, material collected from coastlines at risk of ocean plastic pollution.
Quallofil® Blue has been available since 2020, but Advansa’s switch to using Prevented Ocean Plastic™ in the material is a new development.

Advansa fibres are also Global Recycled Standard (GRS)-independently certified and audited for traceability.
