It enables colour matching across conventional and digital processes using an extended colour gamut, and achieves massive time savings in data processing thanks to the automated conversion of multicolour print data.
GMG’s longstanding automated colour conversion tool, GMG ColorServer was updated and relaunched in Q3 of 2020 as a convenient pay-monthly, subscription-based model including this new solution for multicolour printing. Plus, the solution now integrates award-winning profiling tool GMG OpenColor. This product is able to predict colour results accurately when converting spot colours into a fixed colour palette of e.g. CMYK plus OGV, including predicting spot colour overprints.
Additionally, GMG ColorServer comes with the option of the recently launched GMG ColorBook for creating Pantone® and custom colour guides using real print conditions – your press, inks and production substrate. This Pantone-licensed tool uses the power of the GMG OpenColor Separation Rule to produce a colour guide physically demonstrating exactly how spot colours will be reproduced from fixed ink sets.
