We are excited to announce that AVI Global Plast has been certified to ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management systems.

Earning this certification is a testament to the comprehensive system we have in place for identifying, assessing and controlling our environmental impact and improving our environmental performance. At our factory in Daman, we have undertaken several initiatives with the environment in mind, such as harnessing solar energy through rooftop solar panels, identifying hazardous wastes and disposing of them safely, reusing light greywater from washbasins for flushing toilets, growing a forest using the Miyawaki method (a technique of creating dense forests with native plants), etc.

Our earning this certification also means that our customers can trust in our commitment to being environmentally responsible. And since we as a supplier are actively working to minimise our environmental footprint, it can help reduce the environmental impact of our customers’ supply chain too.

“We are thrilled to have received the ISO 14001 certification,” says Akhilesh Bhargava, Managing Director, AVI Global Plast. “It is a recognition of not only the efforts we have made to improve our environmental performance but also our commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen. It has also motivated us to continue providing sustainable products and services to our customers.”

Earning the ISO 14001 certification is thus a major milestone for our company. We are delighted about this achievement and look forward to continuously improving our environmental management system.
