The idea behind Nature Line Cutlery Oy and the development of next-generation cutlery – made from renewable materials that only utilize side streams – began in 2018. To achieve our goal, we partnered with forest industry giants UPM and Stora Enso to create a team of innovative experts. Our solution was refined and developed over two years until it was time to launch Nature Line Cutlery and to tell our unique sustainable story.
We are a privately owned company established in January 2020. Our owners include some of Finland’s most well-known family investors as well as our own management. There has been a rapid growth trajectory, with deliveries in over 21 countries – and growth continues.
Our reusable cutlery is manufactured in our brand-new factory in Outokumpu, North Karelia, Eastern Finland, using the latest state-of-the-art technology in injection moulding and operating under the highest food safety and quality standards. We have made significant investments to meet growing market demand and to support our future growth, with total capacity expected to exceed 1 billion units in 2024.
We are very proud of our cutlery and the unique user experience it provides to consumers, together with our unmatched story of sustainability and food safety. Our cutlery is aligned with the latest EU legislation and directives (SUP, PPW, Green Deal) and supports a wide scale shift towards reusable alternatives.
We are an open, flexible, and efficient partner, with a staff of 55 professionals, whose cornerstones are quality of operation and speed of service, combined with a high-quality, safe product.
