As a global leading producer, we cover the full production process from recovered paper to a wide range of paper-based products. Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)
Solidus’ Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) trays offer a sustainable solid board alternative to traditional plastic packaging. MAP technology replaces the air inside a pack with a protective gas mix, extending the shelf life of fresh or processed meat, fish, fruit, cheese, salads and ready-made meals. Made from FSC® certified, barrier-lined solid board from renewable fibres, our MAP trays use up to 90% less plastic than conventional options. The transparent sealing film can be easily separated from the board for recycling, supporting a circular and more sustainable packaging chain. Punnets
Solidus offers a range of solid board punnets designed for strawberries, berries, mushrooms and other fresh produce. Made from renewable fibres and fully recyclable, they provide a sustainable alternative to fossil-based packaging while maintaining product freshness and strength. Skin packaging
Solidus’ skin packaging offers a sustainable and visually appealing solution for fresh food such as meat, fish, poultry and seafood. Using renewable, FSC® certified solid board, this vacuum-sealed packaging ensures optimal product protection and presentation while significantly reducing plastic use. In the skin packaging process, the product is placed on a solid board carrier and covered with a heated transparent film. A vacuum then draws the film tightly around the product and board, creating a secure seal. After use, the thin plastic layer can be easily separated from the board for recycling, supporting a circular packaging approach. Solidus supplies a full range of machine erected solid board trays in all sizes and board qualities, tailored to meet the specific needs of your products and supply chain.
