Introducing the brand new high-speed syringe filling machine with advanced automation
Syntegon has unveiled the MLD Advanced, a new filling machine designed for ready-to-use (RTU) nested syringes, capable of processing up to 400 syringes per minute. This innovation aims to enhance efficiency and safety in pharmaceutical production environments.
The MLD Advanced incorporates automatic bag and tub openers that facilitate aseptic, no-touch transfer of syringes into the filling area. Within this zone, Syntegon’s Pharma Handling Unit automatically denests the syringes, preventing glass-to-glass contact, and positions them into the pitch adjustment station.
A unique circulating transport system, adapted from Syntegon’s cartridge line, ensures smooth and precise movement of syringes, vials, and cartridges through the machine. This system places the containers into transport clips, maintaining stability and alignment during processing.
Prior to filling, each empty syringe undergoes weighing with 100% in-process control to ensure accuracy. The filling and stoppering process, based on Syntegon’s FXS series, utilises filling needles mounted on the Pharma Handling Unit, allowing for flexible redosing if necessary. The filling weight is precisely controlled to meet stringent quality standards.
After filling, stoppers are inserted using either a vacuum or vent tube method. The circulating transport system then returns the containers, and the Pharma Handling Unit places them back into their nests, completing the process.
The MLD Advanced is designed to meet the growing demand for efficient and reliable syringe filling solutions in the pharmaceutical industry, offering enhanced automation and control to support high-volume production needs.
