About us
Automated packaging specialists, with almost 50 years supplying the UK & Ireland.
We specialise in automated systems for shrink wrapping, bagging, vacuum sealing and pallet wrapping operations. As one of very few companies that supplies both machinery and materials, we can deliver the complete system, advising our customers on the optimum total system for their products, although we also supply individual products as needed.
Both machinery and materials will be on display at Packaging Innovations and the on-stand team will comprise specialists in both areas – come over and discuss your packaging needs and challenges.
The machinery on our stand will include an Automatic L-Sealer, Side-Feed Sleeve Sealer, Vacuum Sealer and Vertical Bagging Machine. This is a fraction of the range that YPS offers, so please come and discuss your requirements if you’re looking for something else. Our customers are supported by our in-house engineering team, keeping their equipment running at optimum level over the long term.
Equally, our on-stand Materials Display will include a small portion of our materials range, which is stocked in our UK warehouse adjacent to the motorway network for speedy despatch to our customers. Our materials include fully recyclable, high recycled content and bio-based alternatives, designed to help you hit your sustainability and EPR goals. We also offer high-strength, technically-advanced materials that allow downgauging for reduced overall plastics use.

Side Feed Automatic Sleeve Sealers
The Side Feed Automatic Sleeve Sealer from YPS is a shrink wrapping machine is designed to provide the flexibility to shrink wrap trayed and trayless packs. This type of heat sealer is designed to work on demand and so can be fed either by an operator or directly from another conveyor. As the products are physically pushed through though the shrink wrap, these machines can also take products and collate them into a variety of trayless multipack collations providing complete flexibility.
Shrink Tunnels
At Yorkshire Packaging Systems we also supply a range of Shrink Tunnels to complement our shrink wrapping machinery. Shrink tunnels require accurate temperature control and a good, adjustable air flow to produce consistent packs which is vital when you require retail display standard packaging.
Bollore Polyolefin Shrink Film
Yorkshire Packaging Systems supply market leading polyolefin shrink film. As the exclusive UK distributor for the rapidly expanding Bollore range of high-performance polyolefin shrink wrap films, supplying the correct grade of shrink wrap for any machine and application from stock.
Polythene Shrink Film
Yorkshire Packaging Systems supply high-quality, robust and durable polythene shrink film from a reputable, long standing company based in the United Kingdom. All polythene films from YPS are 100% recyclable and can also be supplied with post-consumer recycled content in the blend.
Stretch Films
YPS can now supply British-manufactured stretch wrap from a BRC certified site. Our stretch film range offers the utmost protection for transit of your goods. Films are available in a range of widths, microns and stretch ratios to suit any application. Our highest quality stretch film offers the opportunity to downgauge in thickness, without compromising on strength, compared to competitor films on the market. This equates to a 20% saving in cost and volumes of plastic year on year. YPS maintains extensive stocks, available for next day delivery across the UK.
Poly Bags
Designed for use with our range of vertical bagging machines, our high-quality poly bags and mailers cater for a huge range of applications including e-commerce or order fulfilment. We can supply a number of blends from high clarity LDPE, anti-static, gamma-patient, VCI, non-scratch and breathable specifications. All of our standard and printed bag specifications are 100% recyclable and can be supplied with or without recycled content in the formulation. A choice of colours, thicknesses and widths are also available as are a number of value-adding features like easy-tear perforations, handle holes, vent holes, hang holes and return closing strips. With the option of custom printed designs in up to 8 colours on one or both sides, YPS can help you create a totally unique bag style for your business.
Vertical Bagging Machines
YPS have partnered with the globally-renowed manufacturer Sharp to bring to market an outstanding range of bagging machines for B2C e-commerce and B2B fulfilment applications. Designed to increase packing speeds, output, efficiency and accuracy whilst reducing costs in labour, consumables and secondary packaging, our automated polybagging units are guaranteed to streamline your despatch process. Combined with our impressive choice of poly mailing bags, our vertical bagging solutions will deliver impressive results for your business and enhanced satisfaction for your customers. This range features the MAX PRO 24, officially the widest bagging machine on the market.
Fully Automatic L-Sealers
An automatic l-sealer will achieve faster speeds without the need for an operator. With increased automation comes increased speeds. Our fully automatic L sealers are loaded with intuitive features which enable faster sealing and shrinking without compromising on the professional finish of packs. Photocell product detection, multi-pack detectors, film tracking devices and inverter driven infeed and outfeed belts ensure a multitude of packs can be wrapped consistently at speed without requiring operator intervention.
Vacuum Sealer
Vacuum packing removes the air from a product’s packaging to preserve product freshness and extend shelf life, which is especially useful for food products. Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP), where the pack is gas-flushed, can also be achieved with our vacuum sealing equipment. The resulting pack also protects the product from external contaminants as it is air and water proof. Our vacuum packaging equipment is simple to operate with a digital control panel that allows you to save up to 10 programmes, to swiftly switch between packing different products. The swing hood feature increases speed and productivity, so you can seal one pack whilst the next is prepared. Available in three different jaw size options, so you can select the ideal option for your operation. Supplied in hygienic stainless steel for a durable, long-lasting finish.
Vacuum Pouches
Vacuum pouches are designed to extend shelf life and preserve product quality and freshness. They are suitable for sous vide cooking as well as microwaving and freezing, while preventing ‘freezer burn’. Barrier and non-barrier options are available, as are a wide range of material thicknesses. Thicker material has advantages when packing difficult or protruding shapes as well as meat products with bone-in. Used with a vacuum sealer, a strong seal can be created to ensure the products enjoy the benefits of enhanced preservation. They can also be used in Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) applications.
