MonoFlexBE Cheese Pouches
Introducing MonoFlexBE, a first of its kind, fully recyclable polyethylene (PE) monolaminate for cheese. Providing a direct replacement for current non-recyclable packaging alternatives, Coveris’ lightweight MonoFlexBE films offer advanced barrier properties to match shelf-life requirements of existing formats. With pouch alternatives offering a major plastic weight reduction, packs also offer advanced carbon savings in combination with major packing line. MonoFlex Thermoform
RECYCLABLE MONOMATERIAL THERMOFORMING FILMS Coveris’ innovative and recyclable MonoFlex Thermoform films provide a breakthrough for thermoforming packaging. Providing a direct replacement for non-recyclable alternatives such as nylon, our MonoFlex Thermoform packaging is produced from high performance monomaterial PE or PP substrates. MonoFlex Thermoform offers adjustable barrier properties to suit shelf-life requirements and strong puncture resistance for product protection. Its wide operating window ensures efficient packing speeds and a seamless switch from other materials. Supporting consumer communication and on-shelf appeal, MonoFlex Thermoform is available with a printed top film including gloss and matt lacquer options. PolyFlex
PolyFlex represents a breakthrough in block cheese packaging, replacing traditional mixed nylon laminates – one of the hardest to recycle materials – with a recyclable mixed polyolefin structure. Recognised with the Best New Concept Award at the UK Packaging Awards 2024, this innovation sets a new sustainability benchmark for the industry. Responding to growing demand for sustainable solutions from brands and retailers, PolyFlex is a direct replacement for nylon/PE laminates, offering recyclability through return-to-store plastics while meeting and exceeding a 120-day shelf-life requirement. Performing in line with present nylon/PE specifications, PolyFlex tackles one of the industry’s biggest recycling challenges by removing nylon from waste streams. PolyFlex also delivers impressive measurable environmental savings: over 10% weight reduction, a carbon footprint of over 30%, and up to 25% less energy used compared to nylon laminates. Extruded using Coveris’ technical barrier films in the UK, PolyFlex integrates seamlessly into existing production lines, requiring no additional investment. Available with or without a resealable zip, PolyFlex provides functionality and convenience for consumers while enabling brands to customise packs with high-clarity, HD flexo printing in up to 9 colours. Options for matt lacquers add a premium tactile finish and improved rigidity, creating impactful shelf appeal. PolyFlex supports sustainability goals without compromising quality or efficiency, providing a game-changing solution for environmentally conscious manufacturers and retailers.
Vacuum Skin Packaging (VSP)
Enhanced protection, less waste: Coveris’ high-performance vacuum skin packaging films utilise our expertise in the production of co-extruded barrier films for maximum product protection, quality, freshness and safety. Compatible with PE, PET, PP, aluminium and cartonboard base trays, our VSP solutions prolong the shelf life of perishable foods such as fresh meat and fish, cheese, and chilled products. VSP multi-layer barrier films are manufactured at our leading PE extrusion facility in Winsford, UK, delivering supply chain product security using tailored functional performance for demanding applications. VSP has high clarity and puncture resistance and is available in a wide range of thicknesses and sealing options. Our films are validated for use on all major standard packing lines.
MonoFlex Thermoform PaperFeel
Winner of the Best New Concept Award at the 2025 UK Packaging Awards MonoFlex Thermoform PaperFeel, an innovative development in recyclable thermoforming packaging. Formulated from polyethylene, the packaging is a replacement for traditional mixed material laminates, providing the protection of plastic with the visual and tactile appeal of paper. The solution is designed to meet the performance and functional demands of protein-based products such as sliced meats, fish, bacon, and cheese, while delivering premium cues and a contribution to waste reduction across the value chain.
Vertical & Horizontal FFS Films
Coveris’ range of co-extruded and laminated flow wrap films are optimised to for all vertical (VFFS) and horizontal (HFFS) packaging lines, as well as fill and seal packaging machines. Flow wrap films are engineered to gain maximum production efficiencies through increased output and speed, while offering extended shelf life and premium product presentation.
