Tamper-evident Tube shortlisted for Sustainability & Impact Awards

We’re delighted to announce that our tamper-evident tubes have been shortlisted for this year’s Sustainability & Impact Awards.

This marks our second consecutive year at the awards, following our win at the previously named Environmental Packaging Awards. The awards recognise packaging innovations that deliver measurable environmental benefits, commercial practicality and long-term industry impact.

A plastic-free solution for luxury hotels

Our shortlisted design features in the Beauty & Personal Care Packaging – Paper category.

Developed for Minibar Products, a supplier of in-room minibar kits to luxury hotels worldwide, the brief was to create a plastic-free, tamper-evident alternative without compromising the original cylindrical shape, premium appearance or compatibility with existing automated minibar systems.

Designed with responsible materials

We developed the tube using rigid board, carefully considering material usage while ensuring durability and pack integrity. The design withstands co-packing, handling and distribution while retaining a premium finish suited to luxury hospitality.

Plastic tamper-evident labels were replaced with an integrated tear-off strip, maintaining security and functionality while eliminating unnecessary components.

Delivering measurable sustainable impact

Made primarily from paper, with only a small amount of water-based adhesive used in production, the tube is designed to be widely recyclable within current UK waste systems.

By removing plastic stickers and replacing the previous plastic tube, the solution reduces unnecessary material use while supporting Minibar Products' sustainability targets and the growing demand for more responsible packaging across the luxury hospitality sector.
