Thermoforming specialist, Kingsmoor Packaging, has worked with the UK’s leading gums and jellies brand, HARIBO, to produce a fun festive snowman shaped tub filled with Starmix treats.
Currently at retail, the snowman design, which has been in development since the beginning of the year, has a printed outer carton sleeve which once removed, reveals a thermoformed rigid snowman complete with embossed features on the lid. The happy snowman tub contains 460g and 100g bags of Starmix jellies.
Richard Clarke, HARIBO’s procurement manager said: “Kingsmoor came up with a number of options for this particular launch, but as a new concept the clear favourite was the snowman. Once the decision was made and the design refined, they responded very quickly to produce the required stock to meet our timescales. The end result is very pleasing.”
Kingsmoor, a seasoned HARIBO packaging supplier, also produced the brand’s Halloween themed tub and lid earlier in the year, as well as Maoam Duo tubs and selection packs as thermoformed products.
“With our work for HARIBO, we are tasked to develop some exciting and innovative packaging solutions. And because thermoforming tooling is a cost effective option, we are able to realise those designs against tight lead times with greater flexibility and cheaper than injection moulding,” said Kingmoor’s managing director, James Hill.
Kingsmoor Packaging manufacture food grade packaging solutions in APET, PP and HIPS - as well as RPET, which contains at least 50% post-consumer recycled waste and at least 30% industry recycled waste. With in-house tooling and design, operating in tandem with their state of the art modern production facilities, Kingsmoor Packaging is able to provide customers with a nimble, flexible and cost effective single source service.
