ThermoFibre and Fibre Revolution are leading providers of sustainable moulded fibre packaging. Specialists in moulded fibre manufacturing, ThermoFibre focuses on wet moulded thermoformed products whilst Fibre Revolution manufactures Dry Moulded Fibre products.
Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, we are experts in deeper draw products such as trays, bowls and cups with the unique capability to offer laminated, sealable and long shelf-life barrier products. We offer sustainable solutions in food packaging, consumer and industrial packaging as well as in medical fibre consumables.
With specialist engineers, product design teams and development laboratories, we assist companies in converting their existing packaging to more sustainable alternatives. All products are bespoke and developed to meet your requirements.

Microwave and Oven Safe Fibre Food Trays
Our Fibre packaging can be designed to withstand high temperatures, making it oven-safe and microwave-friendly. This heat resistance is valuable for ready meals, baked goods, and other products that require heating directly in the packaging. Our fibre and laminated packaging has been designed and tested to withstand up to 280°C and has passed all applicable FDA Migration tests.
Freezable Fibre Food Trays
Our Fibre packaging holds up well in low temperatures, making it freezer-compatible. This versatility is ideal for frozen food packaging, ensuring the material remains intact without cracking or losing structure. Our laminated fibre packaging has been flash frozen successfully to -40°C. Unlike Plastic, fibre doesn’t crack or become brittle under extreme cold and remains flexible.
Moisture and Grease Resistant Fibre Food Trays
Our Fibre packaging can be treated with coatings to enhance moisture and grease resistance. This is crucial for packaging containing oily or wet foods. This makes it suitable for a wide range of foods, from fried items to salads with dressings. Using the Thermofibre™ Eco-peel feature, trays that contained oil, grease or food residue can then be recycled with mixed paper.
Long-shelf life and High Barrier Fibre Food Trays
We specialises in providing custom refrigerated and shelf-stable solutions in excess of 28 days but typically from 12 to 18 months. These trays are compatible with thermoplastic and foil lidding. Ideal for cut fruit, salad with protein, prepared meals and other perishable food, our high barrier trays can provide a shelf life of up to 28 days. We have a suite of films that provide custom barrier properties for your unique application.
Eco-Peel Laminated Feature for Fibre Trays
Discover Eco-Peel: The Game-Changing Lamination Technology for Fibre Food Packaging! ThermoFibre’s patented Eco-Peel feature revolutionises food trays with a thin, easily removable lamination layer. Say goodbye to waste, simply peel off the film, leaving behind a clean, recyclable, and compostable fibre tray! Eco-peel feature allows the consumer to take a soiled food container, remove the film leaving a clean tray that can be recycled with mixed paper! This technology is environmentally friendly and allows the laminate to be discarded in the appropriate container and the tray can be recycled or composted.
