SR Mailing Ltd is a Manchester-based provider of innovative, sustainable packaging solutions for the e-commerce sector. Since its formation in 2014, the company has grown significantly, in 2023, SR Mailing expanded into a new 54,000 sg ft facility to accommodate larger-scale operations and meet the increasing demand for sustainable packaging products. The company has also achieved FSC and GRS certifications and is a certified Climate Partner, demonstrating its commitment to carbon neutrality and environmentally responsible practices. In 2025, SR Mailing achieved B Corp certification with an impressive B Impact score of 95.4, recognising its strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Plastic Free Packaging
Eco-Friendly & Plastic Free Packaging Supplies Make your business more eco-friendly with our range of recyclable, biodegradable, compostable packaging. We pride ourselves on supplying packaging materials that have an as little environmental impact as possible, and as such all of our cardboard packaging – such as capacity envelopes, book wrap mailers, and PiP boxes is made from 100% recycled materials. Where we use plastics for items such as mail bags, we use as much recycled material as possible, and ensure that they are suited to be recycled again. 100% Recycled Mailing Bags
When businesses are sending orders out to customers, their packaging solutions need to be reliable, robust, and durable, as well as being lightweight so that the packaging doesn’t add significant weight to the mailing. By using a lightweight mail bag, businesses are able to keep mailing costs to a minimum, and with a mixture of sizes and colours, they can also use the same type of packaging for many different types of products. For businesses that are sending orders internationally, it is even more important that the packaging solution that they choose is up to the test – and our mail bags are both puncture and tear proof. We’ve tested them extensively, and they can withstand a huge amount of rough handling, as well as being water resistant. Our mail bags are available in a range of sizes, including those that suit Royal Mail Pricing in Proportion (PiP) sizes. Our mail bags are also available in a range of colours including black, white, and grey, and each are opaque for increased confidentiality. Not only that, but the self-adhesive seal is permanent, so when it has been peeled, sealed, and settled, the bag is permanently closed, making it easy to identify if the mail bag has been tampered with. Our range of mail bags includes 100% recycled Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), which are recyclable when the glue strip has been removed. We recommend businesses note this on their packing note, so that customers can be confident how best to dispose of their mail bag. In addition to our recycled mail bags, we have also developed compostable black mail bags, which are clearly marked as such. These make the perfect alternative to traditional plastic mailing bags as they perform to a similar standard to plastic, yet can be composted in both home and industrial composts.
100% Compostable Products
If you’re looking to increase the eco-credentials of your business, then our range of recycled and recyclable mail bags might not go quite far enough – and if you want a sustainable packaging solution that is completely biodegradable, our 100% compostable black mailing bags may be the answer. Suitable for adding to either home or industrial compost, our compostable mail bags are printed with information that tells customers how to dispose of the mail bag, meaning that there is a greater chance that they will make it to compost bins. Despite the fact that they are compostable – they’re made from 70% PBAT, 5% PLA, and 25% corn starch – that doesn’t make them any less strong than their polythene counterparts. Just as plastic mail bags are, our compostable mailing bags are moisture and dust resistant, and are puncture and tear resistant – so they’ll easily withstand being sent through the post, or less-than gentle courier services. In addition, the self-adhesive seal is tamper evident, and when the self-adhesive strip is peeled and sealed, the bag is permanently closed.
Honeycomb Paper
Kraft paper honeycomb products are the solution if you’re looking to reduce your reliance on plastic in your packaging solutions. Our brown Kraft honeycomb padded envelopes are made from two layers of recycled paper, with one a honeycomb layer, and are an affordable, realistic option to replace plastic lined padded mailing envelopes. The self-sealing closure is tamper-evident, and your team will find them just as quick to use as conventional padded envelopes. As you’d expect from SR Mailing, our honeycomb padded envelopes are a great option for the environment, since they are made from high quality Kraft paper, which is sustainable, biodegradable, and recyclable when the glue strip is removed from the mailing envelopes.
Royal Mail Box
Our range of PiP boxes are delivered flat packed to save space, they are easy to assemble, and they are available in a range of different sizes within the specifications that Royal Mail stipulates. By sending as Large Letter, or Small Parcel, businesses can keep costs low, as well as protecting the customer’s order. As you’d expect with a packaging company that has sustainability at its core, our Royal Mail PiP boxes are made from 100% recycled corrugated paper. Not only are they made from recycled material, but they are easy to recycle too – they can be added to household recycling, and they are both biodegradable and compostable, allowing recipients to safely dispose of the box however they choose.
All Paper Padded Envelops
Made from 100% recycled paper means that our corrugated cardboard padded envelopes are easy to dispose of at the end of their useful lives. Almost all homes are able to add them to their kerbside recycling collections since they are fully recyclable, but where that isn’t an option, they are also naturally biodegradable (with the glue strip removed) and can be composted. Our corrugated cardboard padded envelopes aren’t just a great option for the environment though. They look professional, and the Kraft exterior can be custom printed, have labels applied, or have a handwritten address added. They are a realistic, affordable option for businesses, and they are lightweight and compatible with Royal Mail guidelines too, so they won’t add to your postage costs any more than a plastic bubble envelope does.
Eco Void Fill & Cushionings
Sending items through the post, or via courier, isn’t without risk. Most retailers will have encountered customer complaints because their order arrived damaged in some way – even with significant padding having been added to the package. Bubble wrap can be an option that works, but it takes up a lot of space in packing areas, and you have to use a lot to achieve enough padding for many items, which isn’t cost-effective, or great for the environment. Our green air cushioning is a far more efficient option, since one roll equates to approximately ten rolls of bubble wrap, and since it is inflated in your packing area when you need it, the amount of storage required is much smaller. In addition, it is much better in terms of costs, since you can easily ensure you use the exact amount necessary – and since we offer two types of air wrappers, you’ll be able to use the best type for your products too. Using the right amount of void fill isn’t just better in terms of cost for your business, it is also much better for the environment. In addition to being able to use much less plastic when compared with bubble wrap, our green air filler cushions are made from recycled materials that can be recycled again, and has been designed with a print that encourages the recipient to recycle when they have received it. When you can use a product that does the job perfectly, is better for the environment, and is better for your business, why use anything else?

Shipping Labels
Thermal labels are an essential item in many eCommerce businesses today, and when you think about the alternative, it simply makes sense.
