Macpac Ltd is a privately-owned UK based thermoforming company in Stockport, Manchester. Incorporated in 1973, Macpac specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke and standard thermoformed packaging
We offer a range of products including clam packaging, heat seal blister packaging, bespoke products for medical and food sectors, industrial, automotive, electrical, pharmaceutical, retail and Horticulture with our Plantpac range available online.
Macpac is a British Retail Consortium Global Standard member achieving a ‘AA’ grade rating, and is also a member of RECOUP

Macpac's machine hall of ultra-modern thermoforming machines makes us one of the largest privately-owned thermoforming manufacturers. Size of run is no problem. We can manage short runs of a thousand units into the millions.
With sustainability high on the agenda, adopting fine-tuned environmentally friendly bespoke pack should be at the forefront of any design process. Material choice, material content and recyclability have all to be considered to give the customer the most cost effective and environmentally efficient pack possible.
Macpac work with R-PET, a material blended with more than 30% post-consumer/industrial recyclate thus avoiding the Plastic Packaging Tax. R-PET is also 100% recyclable.

Bespoke Thermoformed Packaging
We design and manufacture all types of thermoformed packaging and trays. Our facilities include in-house tooling as well as 3D design. We manufacture for a wide variety of industries in a selection of materials, typically PET.
Plantpac -an affordable range of plug plant transit packs & seed tray packs specifically designed for the mail order horticultural business
The Plantpac range has been developed in collaboration with a major mail order plant supplier. The easy-to-assemble packs provide maximum protection and ventilation for the plants during transit and display.
Surecel
A new range of locking clamshells with a unique patented closure system that provides high level security with great looks. Surecel is available as a standard range of shapes and sizes and is also available as Surecel Custom. The Custom range is based on the standard profiles but allows for an add-on shape to accommodate the product giving it a perfect fit but at a fraction of the tooling cost of a bespoke pack.

We design and manufacture all types of bespoke thermoformed packaging and trays for the food industry. Packs are individually designed to add value to every application making them stand out from other 'me too' packs.
MACPAC LAUNCH BREAKDOWN PET
MACPAC ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF BREAKDOWN PET AT PACKAGING INNOVATIONS 2019. WHAT IS BREAKDOWN PET? Breakdown PET is a revolutionary new material which satisfies the “Holy Grail “ of plastics in that it is fully recyclable AND biodegradable. WHY REVOLUTIONARY? In the past there have been materials which have been trialled by industry such as PLA which are Biodegradable under specific conditions. However, they are not recyclable in the usual recycling chains present throughout Europe. Indeed they actually contaminate existing recyclable plastics. The revolutionary advantage to BREAKDOWN PET is that it is still FULLY recyclable through existing recycling chains. This means that when it does eventually get to end-of-life then it is BIODEGRADABLE IN LANDFILL and this is the key to its importance. It is also cheaper than any other material that can make this claim. DOES BREAKDOWN PET WORK FOR ME? The properties of BREAKDOWN PET are identical to standard food grade RPET material in terms of clarity and mechanical properties, this means that it is perfectly suited for any product where standard RPET is used. WHAT IS THE CATCH? There is the inevitable resistance to the use of a material which has a higher cost than necessary, but BREAKDOWN PET is the first material which through careful design can be used with minimal on-cost. Wax Melt Moulds -bespoke designs and stock tool options for 2022
Macpac supply a range of Wax Melt Moulds with the in-house capability to design and manufacture bespoke formats for customers own requirements. Macpac also have a stock range of production tools ready to produce to order. The extensive range of clamshell, pots and lid formats include 'Snap Bar' styles, Wax Melt segmented pots and lids, hearts, cavities, star cavities as well as other clamshell options.
How 'Green' is plastic packaging?
All Macpac's R-PET produced exceeds the minimum 30% recycled content introduced by the Government in April which is blended from post-consumer and post-industrial waste so all our customers who use our R-PET are unaffected by the tax.
