We have a significant manufacturing footprint in the UK and Ireland with our 6 manufacuring facilities, some with over 80 years’ experience each, developing innovative, bespoke fibre based corrugated fiber, cartonboard, moulded fiber and paper cups packaging for a diverse range of market sectors.
We are a participant in the UN Global Compact and EcoVadis has awarded Huhtamaki with the Gold medal for performance in sustainability. To play our part in managing climate change, we have set science-based targets that have been approved and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.

Perfume & cosmetic liners
Huhtamaki Blackburn have over 50 years experience providing premium Perfume and Cosmetics Liners, our reputation in the market is second to none, with a customer base spanning the globe. Significant investment over the last 5 years has been geared to producing liners and we are consistently monitoring and improving our quality and productivity. Glassine cushion pads and hamper boxes
Glassine Cushion Pads Huhtamaki Blackburn has established its position as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of confectionery packaging. Our glassine cushion pads provide protection and padding for boxed chocolates, and the option of printed or coloured pads offer an attractive and practical solution to the confectionery market. Huhtamaki BCP’s Cushion Pads are manufactured from certified raw materials, using food grade glassine and greaseproof papers. BCP Cushion Pad Specification 2 – 5 ply Print up to 4-colour flexo In-line and off-line die-cutting Innovative finishes/coatings (in line) Small ball Huhtamaki BCP is also one of the few remaining corrugated converters of glassine in the UK offering a choice of single ply, single and double faced materials and colours. Hamper Boxes Huhtamaki BCP can also produce beautiful gift hampers for the chocolate market. Talk to us now about bespoke designs. Microwave susceptor
Microwave Susceptor is used to provide additional thermal heating on the outside of foods which are heated in microwave ovens. They are used when food requires an authentic oven-cooked, toasted or grilled crispness from the microwave. In combination with fluted material, susceptor provides both insulation and rigidity for ease of handling. What is Susceptor? Aluminium Metallized Polyester. The aluminium is deposited with very low thickness which gives it a greyish appearance. The thin layer of aluminium absorbs part of the microwave energy creating currents in the metal. Since the thickness is low and the resulting resistivity is high the currents are limited so they do not cause any arcing or sparking as would be observed with metallic articles in the microwave. The currents are, however, high enough to heat the susceptor to a temperature of about 120 degrees C, which enables the food to become crispy on the outside. Huhtamaki BCP’s Susceptor is available in various formats and flute styles: Discs (for pizza) - Can be produced either using fluted or flat Susceptor. Crisping Sleeves – For hot sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, sausage rolls, pasties and more. BCP can supply Susceptor in a number of different flute profiles, including; S-Flute, E Flute and B-Flute.
Hot food packaging
Huhtamaki Blackburn has developed a range of hot food packaging, specifically designed for takeaways and sandwiches. Our range of Hot Boxes combine innovative design with our rigid and insulated fluted material providing both attractive and practical solutions for retail and food service markets. Combining innovative design with our rigid and insulated fluted material providing both attractive and practical solutions for retail and foodservice markets. Ovenable cake & bake trays
Huhtamaki Blackburn's established range of corrugated, ovenable cake trays provide the market with an environmentally sound alternative to traditional packaging such as foils and plastics. A range of standard sizes are available or new bespoke sizes and shapes can be developed to meet specific requirements. BCP have also recently developed a ‘Portion Pack’ range of PET lined self-erect ovenable trays, which can be supplied flat packed and made up quickly and easily online. The integrated design department at Huhtamaki means that we can work with diverse specifications to create effective solutions. Huhtamaki BCP's Flute Bake Trays Can be cooked / baked at temperatures up to 220°C. Very light, extremely strong, with excellent insulating properties when handling from the oven. Suitable for bread and cake-based products incorporating specialised materials and / or coating solutions for excellent release and grease resistant properties. With the exception of PET-lined trays, our flute-bake trays are recyclable with all of the constituent parts coming from sustainable sources. Can be manufactured in S Flute, E Flute or Microflute profiles. Can be printed up to 6-colours. Are available in bespoke sizes and shapes, available in open-flute and standard double-faced products. Are currently being supplied to major retailers in the UK. Short lead times are available.

Paper hot cups
For customers looking for a coffee or other hot drinks, our Impresso hot cups are made in the UK and have an optimum embossed design for enhanced insulation, there is no need to use a separate sleeve therefore saving cost, space and reducing SKU's. Most importantly, Impresso hot cups use 25% less material versus competitor smooth and triple wall cups. This way we can help reduce your packaging waste without compromising on performance. Did you know, all of our paper cups can be recycled? There are now more options available than ever to return your used paper cups to be recycled in the UK. There is a wide range of national and regional waste contractors who have cup recycling programmes and opportunities via post back schemes. Available in 3 sizes 9oz, 12oz & 16oz, in our generic designs or custom print to enhance your brand.
Fiber cup lids
The fiber lids from Huhtamaki are an excellent sustainable alternative to plastic lids. They are made from renewable plant-based fibers, contain no plastic coatings and are recyclable via existing UK cup recycling infrastructure. Fiber lids are a sustainable innovation and present a responsible choice to serve drinks and an excellent alternative to plastic lids. Switching to fiber lids helps reduce the usage of plastics while helping to serve beverages the same way as people are used to. The unique design of the lids makes them suitable for enjoying either hot or cold beverages. The round sip hole allows for either sipping through or drinking with a straw. The fiber lids are optimised for a secure lid-fit with paper cups and are available in different sizes.
