Film & Foil Solutions Ltd are one of the UK's leading converters and stockists of flexible packaging films, lamination structures, pouches, wicketted bags, and speciality plastics, paper and aluminium foils.
Alma Products specialise in sheet extrusion, thermoforming and dry off-set container printing. Focusing on providing either general or formable plastic sheet for form-fill-seal applications and the production of thermoformed/printed food and drink packaging.

Tactile Paper feel film offers an aesthetic and tactile paper finish for products and packaging. It is ideal for customers who require a high-quality paper finish combined with the technical benefits of film. Available in white or brown craft finish, Film & Foil can provide new-to-market products on a variety of base films, including our Organic range (compostable, PLA, and oxo-biodegradable films). We also offer perforated, centre-folded, and wicketted formats, ensuring complete suitability for downstream processing or end application. As a specialist film converter, we can service a wide range of sizes, perforation and punching patterns, as well as centre-folding and J-folding on a customer-specific basis. PET Film
With excellent puncture resistance, low water absorption as well as thermal and chemical stability combined with excellent optical qualities, Polyester is recognised as one of the toughest and most versatile flexible packaging films available. We stock a wide range of polyester films ranging from 12 to 500 micron, with a variety of finishes including gloss and matt. Our polyester films are available in plain and one or two side surface treated, making them extremely versatile and able to meet your individual requirements for printing, heat sealing or laminating with adhesives. Our factory in Haydock operates under strict controls that allow us to work in the food and medical industries. PET Lidding Film
Polyester Lidding films from Film & Foil are high quality range of food-grade films ideal for protecting and sealing produce and readymeals while maintaining and displaying the aesthetic properties as well as improving productivity with excellent machine performance and bespoke sizing to suit your individual requirements. Our range covers both permanent seal (also known as weld and lock seal) and peel seal polyester lidding films, with and without anti-fog treatments, giving you maximum versatility when it comes to packaging and displaying your produce and goods. Our lidding films are suitable for packaging fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood, ready meals and a variety of other food products. Skin Film
Skins Film for product preservation. Skin film from Film & Foil is an exceptional quality, high clarity microwavable (cross-linked) film, available in thicknesses from 75 micron – 250 micron. Developed for the flexible packaging and food industries, our film is ideal for red meat and fish products ensuring perfect presentation, protection and peel seal to a variety of PE, PS, APET/PE and RPET/PE trays. This cross-linked film has excellent peel seal integrity as well as clarity and gloss factor, making sure your product reaches the customer in excellent condition. The vacuum performance of this film also provides excellent shape & mould characteristics, accurately sealing and protecting the form of the product. Our Skin film has exceptional strength, with good puncture resistance removing the need for bone guards for bone and shell products. It also has excellent adhesion, preventing sagging when using with oily or wet products. Skin film from Film & Foil is a versatile offering, compatible with all machine types including high speed lines making it a cost effective solution. Specialist Conversion
The UK’s largest in-house conversion facilities for films and foils. Film & Foil has a long history in conversion, originally growing from a conversion business we have grown and developed from this, while maintaining the skill and expertise. Our conversion staff are some of the most experienced in the industry with some having 20+ years of experience. We are able to complete all of the below conversion in house, at our Haydock facility. Because all of our conversion equipment is operated, planned and organised at one site, we are able to offer short lead times and competitive pricing to ensure you get the best, easiest conversion experience in the industry.
Environmental Films
Environmental Solutions We have a full range of Environmental films which provide a range of technical characteristics, dependant on the requirement and environmental factors. PLA (Corn Starch Based) Produced from renewable biomass which will degrade between 12 and 18 months under the correct conditions, and faster (40-60 days) under industrial composting conditions Compostable Bio and Cellulose films suitable for home composting in line with EU regulation EN13432 Oxo-biodegradable Bi-product of refined oil, providing the same handling effects as our standard BOPP films but extruded with pro-degradant additives for enhanced bio-degradation. Flexible OPP / CPP Packaging Films
Ideal for flow wrapping fresh produce, baked goods as well as other food and non-food products. We offer a range of films with different heat sealing properties as well as surface treatments for printability, all maximising flexiblity for the customer. Low thermal melt thresholds provide an easy, efficient and high quality finish. Depending on your exact requirement, our OPP films are available in plain, single or double sided corona treatment depending on your exact requirements for downstream applications such as printing and laminating. Carpet Protection Film
Carpet Protection tape from Film & Foil is a premium quality, solvent based film compatible with all carpets including Wool. Ideal for protecting carpets from any form of mess, our top grade film is ideal for builders, decorators, removers, playschools, electricians, the TV industry and more, the end-application of this material is limitless. Visiting a customer or going somewhere and know you’re going to make a mess? You need Film & Foil Carpet Protection Tape. Our heavy duty protection tape is ideal for thick carpets and for longer term (up to 6 weeks) application where heavy foot traffic is expected. It’s solvent base is high quality and doesn’t damage expensive or luxury carpets such as wool. We can supply standard roll lengths of 100m or custom sized roll lengths, widths and core sizes. We also offer a standard, water based product which is ideal for lower traffic, short term applications on standard, non woollen carpets. Both our carpet protection tape offerings are self adhesive and are produced to order. This means we can customise your order such as reverse winding for easier application, or offsetting on a core for easy application without an applicator. We can also offer branded, printed Carpet Protection film to enhance your company brand and image. UK Thermoforming
With extensive experience in thermoforming, Alma Products Ltd can help with your thermoforming needs and requirements. We have the flexibility to manufacture in a range of materials including PE, PP, PS and ABS. We also colour match to your requirement. We manufacture food grade pots and containers for some of the largest Dairy, Dessert and Yoghurt companies in the UK and Europe. We are able to produce a wide range of packaging, from simple containers for liquid and dairy products, such as, yoghurt, cottage cheese, as well as, custard and mince pie trays. We offer the option of bio-degradable PP material for thermoformed food and drink products. All products can be printed to your specific specifications. We offer a range of containers in UK popular sizes based on 71mm and 95mm diameter necks, and can also develop bespoke tools for novel packaging in new size ranges.
UK Sheet Extrusion
Alma Products Ltd have supplied standard and bespoke extruded sheet for many customers across a wide range of industries and sectors, including form-fill-seal and general sheet markets, for over 40 years. We can extrude sheet in a variety of colours, and with bespoke polymer recipes for particularly challenging, technical applications. We manufacture to suit your requirements, from thin sheet at 0.28mm, up to 2.4mm gauge and sheet widths from 200mm up to 1320mm, in polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene and composites, with a technical range covering Bi-colour, Fat Resistant, Light Blocking and Barrier Materials.
Dry Off Set Printing
Alma Products Ltd specialise in dry off-set printing, with extensive experience we provide printed containers and pots to some of the largest yoghurt and dessert brands in the UK. We can thermoform and print your container requirements, giving your product a bespoke look. Our 9 colour OMSO printer can print the most demanding of designs at the highest quality and speed for 71mm and 95mm pots. Aided by laser plate technology and the latest inks, we can produce tailormade designs giving our customers the opportunity of label quality decoration with the speed and economy of direct print. Carton Window FIlms
As a leading supplier to the packaging industry, Film and Foil Solutions also provides carton window films to the carton manufacturing sector. Polyester film is the preferred choice for window patching, offering exceptional puncture resistance, low water absorption, and excellent thermal and chemical stability, combined with outstanding optical clarity.
