About us
We are specialists in supplying sustainable, recyclable metal caps, closures and containers from our manufacturing site at Huddersfield where we’ve been based for the last 30 years.
We serve customers across the food, personal care, household products, pharmaceutical, and over the counter sectors, in the UK and export to Europe, the USA, and Australasia.
We are a modern business, with over 100 years of history and experience, originally having been incorporated in 1916 as the Stopper Manufacturing Company Limited.

Products & services
Continuous thread caps
The full range from classic simplicity to bespoke customisation. Our range of caps covers standard size jar and container neck profiles from 28mm to 100mm as shown below. Where volumes are sufficiently high we can also create tooling to manufacture bespoke sizes. Caps can be formed of either aluminium or tinplate depending on the intended application. Our continuous thread caps come in standard depth across the size range, or deep ‘pharma’ versions mainly used on smaller diameter caps. Standard caps are supplied clear lacquered, and can be customised with plain colour printing, printed designs or embossing/debossing. Caps can be supplied unlined or with standard IHS, EPE or HS35 (two piece) liners. Our customised caps are manufactured to order at our BRCGS accredited facility in Huddersfield and supplied in pallet quantities. We can also supply plain undecorated caps in some standard sizes with EPE liners from imported stock (excluded from the scope of the site’s BRCGS Packaging Materials certification).
Smooth sided caps
Premium caps for premium products - a fully recyclable alternative to sleeved plastic caps. Our smooth sided caps are formed from tinplate for robust rigidity and currently come in 38 / 45 / 53mm sizes with further options to follow. All our smooth sided caps are manufactured to order at our BRCGS certified facility in Huddersfield and supplied in pallet quantities. As with our continuous thread caps, standard smooth sided caps are supplied clear lacquered, and can be customised with plain colour printing, printed designs or embossing/debossing. Standard caps are supplied with HS35 (two piece) liners but other options are available.
EnviroCafeCap
Patented metal cap design for use with liners for instant coffee and similar powder products. Caps can be supplied in plain clear lacquered, or can be customised with embosses/debosses, plain colour printing or printed designs. All our EnviroCafeCaps are manufactured to order at our BRCGS certified facility in Huddersfield and supplied in pallet quantities.
