Retailers get support package ahead of UK Deposit Return Scheme

Retailers across the UK are being offered targeted support as preparations accelerate for the introduction of the national Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), scheduled to launch in October 2027. The initiative, designed to significantly increase the collection and recycling of drinks containers, represents a major operational shift for stores of all sizes.

The organisation responsible for delivering the scheme has introduced a comprehensive support package aimed at helping retailers understand and implement their obligations.
