Simon Burrow is the Commercial Director at innovative, low carbon secondary packaging company, Trakrap. The TrakRap system is a low plastic alternative to shrink-wrapping that uses a 100% recyclable stretch film to wrap products for transit for FMCG manufacturers supplying supermarkets and retailers in the UK. The system reduces users’ carbon footprints by as much as 70% through lower CO2e emissions and significantly reduces plastic and energy consumption.
Simon has 30 years’ experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) manufacturing, having previously held senior commercial roles with major organisations including Heineken, Premier Foods, Kerry Group and Rank Hovis McDougall. Simon has also worked closely with household-name brands such as Bisto, Galaxy, Ambrosia and Mr Kipling, as well as several retailers’ own-label brands. He was also Non Executive Vice President of the Institute of Customer Service, working alongside business leaders from a broad range of industries including Banking, Retail, Automotive and Utilities, to advise the Institute on its forward strategy for promoting Customer Service Excellence in the U.K.
