Associate Director Consulting Technology, Campden BRI
Emma has worked for Campden BRI since 2004 – following technical and quality roles with major companies in food manufacturing and retailing, having graduated in food science and nutrition, and subsequently obtaining a masters in packaging technology management. Campden BRI provides practical scientific, technical, regulatory and information support – helping food and drink businesses succeed. It supports over 2,500 member companies in 80 countries – through analysis and testing, product and process innovation, and bespoke consultancy, all underpinned by a vigorous programme of research and innovation. At Campden BRI, Emma has worked in thermal process development research, the packaging and manufacturing section addressing aspects such as seal integrity and the evaluation of pack performance during processing and distribution chain, and led the product innovation team covering aspects such as how novel manufacturing techniques and ingredients can improve nutrient composition in foods. Following a move to Campden BRI’s commercial function, Emma established the service management team responsible for leading multi-disciplinary projects before moving to her current role as Associate Director Consulting Technology, leading a diverse range of experts in process and product innovation, packaging testing, food safety management systems, and UK and international regulations.
