Linney invests in automated fulfilment system to support e-commerce growth

E-commerce fulfilment and co-packing services provider Linney has adopted new robotic technology for its site.

With a substantial multimillion-pound investment, Linney has introduced an automated retrieval and storage system, developed in partnership with Element Logic, to proactively meet its clients’ increasing customer demands and stay competitive in the digital landscape.

This state-of-the-art solution employs robotics to enable rapid and accurate item storage and retrieval, resulting in efficient order fulfilment. Linney proudly emphasizes the system’s reliability, guaranteeing an impressive ‘99% operational uptime’ and a robust infrastructure devoid of any single point of failure.

Engineered for swift order fulfilment, this automated system implemented by Linney not only demonstrates its commitment to ESG (environmental, social, and governance) objectives but also significantly reduces energy consumption. Compared to the previous manual process, each robot now operates at a mere 100 watts of energy, enabling Linney to achieve its goals while enhancing efficiency.
